Term & Conditions
- a) All bookings must be placed through the JD Delivery Portal, API Integration, or Customer Service team.
- b) The minimum chargeable weight is 0.5 KG per shipment.
- c) Applicable taxes (GST, etc.) will be charged as per the relevant provincial laws.
- d) If the receiver refuses to accept delivery for any reason, the parcel will be returned to the merchant with a fresh consignment number, and return charges will apply.
- e) For shipments where volumetric weight exceeds actual weight, the following formula will apply (all dimensions in CM): (Length x Width x Height) / 5000
- f) COD shipments are not insured unless the merchant has specifically requested and paid for insurance coverage.
- g) Packaging Responsibility: Merchants are solely responsible for proper packaging as per the product’s nature. JD Delivery will not accept liability for any loss or damage caused due to inadequate packaging.
- h) Documents Required for Account Setup:

2. LIABILITY AND LIMITATION OF DAMAGES- a) JD Delivery is not liable for shortages claimed by the consignee. Customers must ensure the accuracy of quantities packed; JD Delivery does not verify contents.
- b) Packaging safety is the client’s responsibility; JD Delivery is not responsible for damages due to poor packing.
- a) Damage claims for shipments are not admissible; clients must ensure fragile and sensitive goods are properly packed.
- b) Claims are only valid for shipments lost in transit within Pakistan (due to theft, robbery, snatching, or accident). Claims are void if parcel seals are broken/tampered.
- c) No liability for fragile items such as glass, plastic, wood, liquids, etc., regardless of insurance.
- d) JD Delivery is not responsible for shortages claimed post-delivery in acceptable condition.
- e) Maximum claim liability (where applicable) will not exceed the declared product value. For insured shipments, claims are capped at the insured value declared on the CN, provided insurance charges have been paid.
- f) For insured shipments, insurance terms must be accepted in writing prior to dispatch.
- g) Claims are not admissible for electronics (LCDs, LEDs, etc.) if damaged in transit. Proper packing is the client's responsibility.
- h) Claims are not entertained for shipments lost due to:
War, strikes, riots
Terrorism
Explosions
Natural disasters (earthquake, fire, etc.)
- i) Approved claims will be settled within 14 working days.
- j) POD requests older than 90 days from booking will not be entertained.
JD Delivery bears no liability for indirect losses such as business loss, profit loss, or any form of consequential damages.
5. CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE- a) Carriage is governed by the Carriage by Air Act 1934 (Pakistan) for domestic movements.
- b) Shippers are responsible for providing accurate information and documentation for customs, police, or other formalities.
- c) Receipt by consignee without objection confirms delivery in good condition.
- d) JD Delivery bears no liability for loss, delay, or damage unless proven negligent.
- e) Carrier’s liability is limited to Rs. 88.20 per KG unless a higher value is declared and additional charges paid.
- f) For delays, liability is capped at the lesser of actual loss or twice the freight cost.
- g) Dangerous goods may be refused, abandoned, or destroyed without liability.
By opening an account with JD Delivery, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and releases JD Delivery from liability for any loss or damage arising from its services. JD Delivery only provides transportation and not responsibility for the parcel contents.
7. ADDITIONAL TERMS- a) JD Delivery Consignment Note (CN): All CNs are non-negotiable. Responsibility for correctness of information rests with the shipper. JD Delivery will not be liable for incorrect data.
- b) No Alteration: No agent, employee, or representative of JD Delivery is authorized to amend these Terms & Conditions.
- c) Acceptance Process: Bookings via portal or API confirm acknowledgment that JD Delivery assumes no liability for contents inspection, especially for high-value goods.
- d) Lien on Goods: JD Delivery reserves the right to retain shipments until outstanding charges are cleared.
- e) Liabilities Not Assumed: JD Delivery accepts no responsibility for delays due to events beyond control (weather, war, regulations, etc.).
- f) Claims: Claims must be submitted in writing within 7 days of booking. No claims are processed without full payment of all dues.
- g) Insurance: Clients are advised to arrange insurance independently. Without insurance, JD Delivery’s liability is limited to Rs. 100 per domestic shipment.
- h) Prohibited Materials: JD Delivery does not carry: liquids, firearms, plants, drugs, explosives, animals, perishables, bearer instruments, obscene materials, industrial carbons, diamonds, IATA restricted items, or any items prohibited by law.
- i) Payments: All payments must be made via cross cheque in favor of JD Delivery’s registered entity.
- j) GST & Annual Rate Revision: GST applies as per law. Annual rate adjustments shall be mutually agreed upon.
